Environmental Awareness

The experience gained in the direct manufacturing of polymer products has given Diversified Packaging Group, LLC a sense of ecological awareness. Having primary responsibility for maintaining EPA compliance in a manufacturing environment has provided firsthand knowledge of the impact that plastics can have on our eco-systems when they are not handled responsibly. This awareness has encouraged our organization to promote environmentally sustainable products.  Those efforts have led to significant advancements in reducing our customers' carbon footprint.

Process and Products

Biobased Polymers

Many advancements in the use of biodegradables and compostables have improved their use in packaging materials. We offer a range of films and packaging products made from these materials and they are approved for use in direct food contact. If your company is considering bio-based biodegradable and natural compostible materials we have options that work. Offering compostable materials, as well as biodegradable, will provide your company a packaging material that  fits your needs while reducing your environmental impact. Either option is fully certified and approved for direct food contact.

Post Consumer and Reprocessed

We employ the use of post consumer raw materials to manufacture an ecological blend of reprocessed resins. State of the art technology is used to produce a high quality blend of premium  grade reprocessed resins that are far superior to any others on the market. The most advanced methods available are used to sort each grade of polymer scrap prior to reprocessing. Once the  material is pelletized each grade is carefully identified and stored in grade specific silos. These proprietary, multi-phase methods provide the strength and product quality we understand are  needed to satisfy market needs.

Additional Options

For applications that will not allow for the use of sustainable options, we will consult with your company to determine other methods that will help your company to exercise environmental  responsibility. Most people wouldn't expect that a company that is in the business of developing packaging would be interested in helping determine if you could get by on less packaging, but that is exactly what we do. Many times companies are simply consuming more packaging than they need. We will consult with your personnel and make recommendations on source reduction if we feel your situation calls for it.
